Tips To Make It Simple and Easy!

Your clean home is more than sparkling, dust-free countertops, and well-vacuumed flooring.
It should and can be free from odors, and free from harsh chemicals too…with Nok-Out and Sniper!

The most important thing to remember when using Sniper® or Nok-Out is that it is an oxidizer and only does its job when it comes into direct contact with the source of the odor. Direct contact with ALL of the stinky stuff is essential for removing odors permanently. 

CAUTION: If You Previously Treated with a Vinegar or Citrus Cleaner:

Nok-Out and SNiPER have a pH of 8.5. If you have previously used an acidic cleanser such as vinegar or a citrus-based cleanser, make a mild baking soda/water solution (1tsp /1 pint) and spray the area where the acidic cleanser was used, to neutralize the acid before applying Nok-Out. This will allow Nok-Out to work most efficiently and effectively.

GENERAL TIPS:

    1. Always allow the site to dry completely after applying Nok-Out. As an oxidizer, Nok-Out must dry to complete the job.

    2. Residual odors from household fires (as when the popcorn burns up in the microwave) can be treated with a good spray of Nok-Out.

    3. Recreational vehicles, when re-opened for the season may be completely deodorized and sanitized with Nok-Out. Learn more here.

    4. Spray Nok-Out around the base of the toilet. Allow it to penetrate into the grout.

    5. Stinky shoes and boots will smell fresh as new when treated with Nok-Out. Spray directly in the shoes daily to prevent intolerable odor build-up.

    6. After the party is over, refresh your home by spraying Nok-Out all over the house. Use as fine a misting sprayer as possible for the best penetrating results.

MINIMIZE THE MESS

  1. Routine pick-ups and waste paper removal will keep things orderly and will help you to quickly resolve the problem when accidents occur.

  2. At the site of a big occurrence, carefully eliminate any dangerous items first: sharp glass, broken pottery, anything that may harm you, your family, or pets.

CLEAR THE AIR

    1. Instead of synthetic odors of clove, cinnamon, lemons or flowers, simply spray the air with Nok-Out or SNiPER®. Chemical deodorizing fresheners can irritate the eyes, and cause severe headaches. Don’t mask the odors, remove them! For best results, use a fogger, humidifier or vaporizer.

CLEAN CARPET AND UPHOLSTERY

  1. Always test for colorfastness before applying to fabrics!


  2. Remember that liquids (such as urine) will ‘wick’ outwards from the site of the contamination. Although the stain on top may be small, underneath, the damage may have spread in an irregular pattern. Treat outwards from the site of the stain, allowing penetration to occur.

  3. To really penetrate into heavily padded upholstery pieces, dilute product by up to 4 : 1 (water: Nok-Out or Sniper). Apply heavily and allow it to saturate and penetrate the fabric as deeply as possible. Then, blot up any excess fluid and put fans on it to speed drying.

 

CLEAN UP PET PROBLEMS

    1. Keep your pets clean with regular grooming. Minimize the amounts of pet dander and pet hair in your home. You can spray Nok-Out directly on fur to quickly remove all surface odors. Give your pet a rub-down using Nok-Out. A nice massage is good for both of you! Even when reduced by 50%, Nok-Out retains odor eliminating qualities.

    2. Covered litter boxes may be just fine for you…but pity the poor cat who has to eliminate in them! Odors collect and stay inside! Treat the entire box, if you prefer the covered type. Spray the entire interior every time you remove solid wastes or change the litter. Your cat will smile!

    3. Nok-Out works best in an alkaline environment. If your cat vomits on the floor (carpet or hardwood flooring) the acidic nature of vomit should be neutralized with a mild baking soda solution before using Nok-Out. Blot up as much as possible, saturate with a baking soda solution, blot again, and apply Nok-Out.

    4. Nok-Out works to eliminate odors and safely clean aviary cages and perches. It is totally safe to use, even around baby birds.

    5. You can even spray in the landscape where the neighbors’ pet has eliminated. Reduce Nok-Out by 50% with water. Nok-Out will not harm your foundation plants and perennials.

REMOVE REFRIGERATOR ODORS

    1. Wipe the entire refrigerator (inside and out!) with Nok-Out or Sniper. If your fridge has a drip pan, clean it out every month, and spray liberally with Nok-Out. The moisture in the pan causes bacteria to grow…and smell bad. If mold or mildew is growing, you will need to use SNiPER disinfectant. Spray directly on the growth. Use a soft scrub pad to gently scrub away the crud. Give the area another spray – and walk away, leaving it to air dry.

ELIMINATE BACTERIA IN HEATING AND AC SYSTEMS

  1. Wipe down the vents in each room with Nok-Out to remove dust and collected soil. Spray Nok-Out into the vents to allow clean, fresh air to circulate into every room.

  2. Spray Nok-Out on the AC/Heat Filter every time you change the filter, and several times a year.

  3. Spray Nok-Out into the Return Air Duct, to help circulate and cleanse each room.
  4. Spray SNiPER on the heat exchange coils to eliminate the bacteria that cause odor.

 

REMEDY MOLD AND MILDEW ISSUES

Be aware that SNiPER cleans mold, Nok-Out will only remove the odor of mold.

  1. When the moldy, contaminated site is dry but puffy sites of mold remain, mold spores are more likely to disperse into the air to start new colonies. It’s important to remove the visible mold and immediately clean with SNiPER.

  2. Mold and mildew cannot grow where moisture is not present. After a clean-up, dry the site completely and keep as dry as possible to prevent new growth from occurring. If the environment remains moist, repeated applications of SNiPER will keep mold populations from spreading and will inhibit growth.

  3. Circulate air in your living spaces as much as possible to prevent mildew and mold from developing.

  4. Dust regularly. A light spray of SNiPER on the dust cloth is perfect for simple dust removal.
  5. Use SNiPER as directed for specific mold problems.

 

REMEDIES FOR HOME HEALTH CARE

    1. Smelly mattresses and mattress pads may be rescued from body secretion odors. Long-standing odors may pose a more difficult application procedure, but once Nok-Out gets on the source of the problem, it’s gone.

    2. The atmosphere in a room where chronic illnesses are present can be restored daily by a quick misting spray of Nok-Out.


    3. Remember that SNiPER is our EPA registered hospital disinfectant/odor eliminator and may be used safely in your home.

 

 

ELIMINATE LAUNDRY ODORS

    1. For front loaders, use cold or warm water, but not hot. Use your normal detergent and wash the load. Then, add 4-8 oz Nok-Out to the Pre-Wash reservoir and do a short wash cycle using the Pre-Wash option. You may have to adjust depending on your machines available settings.

    2. For top loaders, wash the clothing as you normally do, but at the end of the wash, leave the clothes inside the machine. Refill the machine with the minimum amount of water that will cover the clothes. Add 4-8 oz Nok-Out to that water and allow it to ‘agitate’ for 2 minutes. Stop the cycle and allow it to soak for up to 20 minutes. Then advance the cycle to rinse/spin dry, and dry as you normally would.

Removed All The Feral Cat Urine

Cats Get Old!

Cats get old. Things happen. Nok-Out was recommended to me by a friend in another state. I Will never go to the pet store again to try any other product. Nok-Out is IT! Rotten Potato Smell Gone!

There cannot be anything worse than potatoes that are forgotten and rot. Any pet I have ever had that had an accident cannot compare. Nok-Out eliminated the odor quickly. What a wonderful product!

Nok-Out Removed Old Dog Urine Odor

I have an Electrolux rug shampooer and was trying to remove old odors of dog urine in my oriental carpets. I shampooed them then put a concentration of 4-1 water to Nok-Out in the tank and went back over them. No more odor!! Worked great! Was sooo happy!

My Mildew Stain Disappeared!

I brought in the plants for winter and when it was time to move them back outside in the spring, I had a mildew stain on the carpet. I received my Nok-Out Carpet cleaner and sprayed the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. When I returned to scrub the stain it was completely gone!! Woo hoo!! Sniper Removed Old Water Odors, Mold & Mildew

I have been using Sniper in the Offshore oil industry as both a disinfectant and a deodorizer for years. It has eliminated old water smells of toilets and bathrooms not used in a year where the water sat and molded mildewed and stank. As well as being injected into our old quarters ac vents to prevent mold buildup. Always worked better than anything comparable and well worth the price.

Christmas tree and Raggedy Ann

We have an artificial Christmas tree that’s still gorgeous but old. Putting it up always bothers my asthma and irritation from getting scratched is not pleasant. Last year I sprayed the tree and the “old tree” smell disappeared. I had purchased Sniper on Mary Hunts advice and it really took care of the basement (moldy) smell! Great! My daughters vintage dolls with cloth bodies had spots of mold or mildew, these are dolls my grandchildren play with. Oh my goodness! Sprayed the doll’s bodies and yarn hair, and the next day they all smelled great, moldy spots gone ! These dolls were over 30 years old and now look soooo good! Would recommend Sniper for other uses, too. Doggy rug smells gone! Smelly shoe odors gone. Grateful to Mary Hunts column for letting us know. 😊👍⭐️

Completely Eliminate a Horrible Smell

Mary Hunt introduced me to Nok-Out years ago and I am still amazed at how it can completely eliminate a horrible smell.

Yesterday I hosed some dust off a plastic laundry basket. I left it outside to dry for a bit and then returned it to the garage.

A few hours later I walked into the garage and the entire place reeked of cat pee! I did not realize that the neighborhood tom cat had come by and sprayed my basket. It was so bad that I was ready to trash it, but I thought I would try to spray it down with Sniper first. I doused it liberally and left it overnight. Ta Da! Absolutely no smell this morning!

Even after all these years, I am still amazed every time your product works on a smell as terrible as cat spray!

Best Odor Control for carpet

Nok-Out and SNiPER are both great products that I use in my carpet cleaning biz to remove odor in carpets. It works great against pet urine odor! It doesn’t cause discoloration and always works. Sniper kills mold and removes the odor in carpets as well. Great products
