Remove Hardwood Floor Odors
Clean & Deodorize Them With Nok-Out or SNiPER!
Wood floors are so lovely! They can really give a home a warm feeling and are beautiful. But occasionally, you may find that you need to deodorize your beautiful floor. Nok-Out or SNiPER is a perfect solution for eliminating odors and restoring wood flooring with no toxic chemicals or other harsh additives…just pure and safe to use anywhere! With either of these products, you can safely remove hardwood flooring odor and, if your floor needs sanitizing or disinfecting, SNiPER is the ideal choice.
The Right Tool For The Job
The first thing you will need is one of the new style flat mops that has a reservoir on the handle, and a sprayer that sprays in front of the mop head. (Don’t try to use one of the old “string” mops. They are so dirty that Nok-Out or SNiPER will immediately go to work on the mop, instead of your floor.) Most mops of the type you need have a removable micro-fiber cloth that can be thrown into the washing machine so that it is clean for every use.
To Dilute, or not Dilute?
You can dilute by 1 water to 1 Nok-Out (or SNiPER). If it is disinfection you are after, then use SNiPER full strength. If you can accept sanitizing as your standard, you can dilute by up to 6 water to one SNiPER. For more information on the difference between Disinfecting and Sanitizing, please see this blog article.
Remember That Nok-Out and SNiPER Are Mostly Water
Puddles of water should never be allowed to sit on your wood flooring for more than a few minutes. That could cause ordinary water damage. With one of the flat sprayer mops, it is unlikely that you will put down so much liquid that you cause ordinary water damage, but do be aware that standing puddles are generally a bad idea for wood floors. Nok-Out and SNiPER will evaporate on your floor at about the same rate as water.
Using the flat mop should allow Nok-Out to remain on the floor removing odor without causing any harm. If you really have a severe odor issue, then take the view that you can remove hardwood floor odor incrementally – a little at a time. In such a case, you may need to repeat until the odor is all gone. Easy, right? It works.
